Robert Zitz (Moderator) - SAIC
Mr. Zitz is leading efforts to identify the long-term, enduring needs in the ISR and Intelligence markets, and develop technical concepts, technology plans, and business approaches to maintain and expand SAIC’s role as a world-class innovator and solution provider.
Mr. Zitz is a former Deputy Under Secretary in the Department of Homeland Security, and he is a 32-year veteran of the Intelligence Community. Mr. Zitz's senior executive experience spans the missions of Army Intelligence, CIA, NGA, NSA, DHS, Secret Service, and the NRO.
Lou Martinage - MicroStrategy
Lou Martinage is a Senior Product Manager supporting MicroStrategy’s Alert application and other social media initiatives. Before his work at MicroStrategy, Lou served as Director of Product Marketing and Business Development at MobileAccess, a leading provider of wireless coverage solutions. He has also worked extensively within the communications sector for companies such as Lucent, Cisco, and Sprint. Mr. Martinage holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT.
Rand Waltzman - DARPA
Dr. Rand Waltzman joined DARPA as a Program Manager in May 2010. His focus is on information systems security. Dr. Waltzman joined DARPA from Lockheed Martin Advanced Technology Laboratories (LM-ATL), where he served as Chief Scientist for the Applied Sciences Laboratory that specializes in advanced software techniques and the computational physics of materials. Prior to LM-ATL he was an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden, where he taught and performed research in applications of machine intelligence technology to a variety of problem areas including digital entertainment, automated reasoning and decision support and cyber threat detection. Before his professorship he served as a DARPA Program Manager focusing on machine intelligence and image understanding. Dr. Waltzman has also held research positions at the University of Maryland, Teknowledge Corporation, and the Applied Physics Laboratory of the University of Washington.
Patrick Meier - Ushahidi
Patrick Meier (PhD) is Director of Crisis Mapping at Ushahidi and co-founder of the Crisis Mappers Network. He previously co-directed Harvard's Program on Crisis Mapping and Early Warning. Patrick has a PhD from The Fletcher School; a Pre-Doc from Stanford and an MA from Columbia University. He blogs at iRevolution.net.
