Neeru Lal - Bureau of Information Resource Management, Public Affairs and Communication, U.S. Department of State
Neeru Lal joined the Department of State’s Foreign Service in 1999 and has managed information technology offices at embassies in Ouagadougou, New Delhi, Brussels, and Rome. Prior to joining the Foreign Service, Neeru worked as a contractor responsible for the modernization of Consular Affairs technology at US embassies and consulates, worldwide. She is currently serving, domestically, in the Bureau of Information Resource Management’s Public Affairs and Communications Office. Neeru was recently appointed to the American Foreign Service Association’s Governing Board.
Last year, Neeru graduated from the Executive Development Program, a year of dedicated executive preparation at the Foreign Service Institute and the National Defense University (NDU), where she earned the Chief Information Officer certificate. She is currently working towards a Master’s degree in Government Information Leadership from NDU and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Decision and Information Sciences, from the University of Maryland.
