IMTFI’s Annual Conference for Funded Researchers

Please join us for The Institute for Money, Technology and Financial Inclusion’s Annual Conference for Funded Research to be held at the University of California, Irvine on September 29 -30. This conference brings together IMTFI’s current cohort of researchers who will present their preliminary findings based on research in 17 developing countries. IMTFI annually funds researchers who investigate how the world’spoorest people spend, save and store money, and how their habits are or could be affected by emerging technologies that provide greater access to financial services. The institute creates a community of practice and inquiry into the everyday uses and meanings of money, as well as the technological infrastructures being developed as carriers of mainstream and alternative currencies worldwide.
