Tariq Khokhar (Moderator) –  The World Bank Open Data.

Tariq Khokhar joined the World Bank in June 2011 as our Open Data Evangelist. His interests lie where technology, transparency, poverty and data meet. Prior to joining the Bank , Tariq led innovation and community engagement work at Aidinfo and the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI). He was formerly a director of Bond UK and the Chief Development Officer of Aptivate, where he delivered technology policy, strategy and implementation projects for governments, NGOs and international organisations across the developing world. Jeffrey FalkensteinFoundation Center.

Jeffrey Falkenstein joined the Foundation Center’s publishing staff in 1992 and currently serves as VP of Data Acquisition and Architecture.  He is responsible for the content of all database-driven Foundation Center publications and products.  He manages the publication of numerous annual print and electronic publications, directs the ongoing development of the Center’s numerous editorial databases, and establishes all editorial policies and procedures. Charles Brigham has worked in the area of Geographic Information Practice and Policy, for institutions such as the United Nations,  World Bank, CARICOM, as well as a number of countries. Charles’ expertise is in the areas of International Development, Census and Statistics, Geospatial Infrastructure, Innovative use of Geospatial tools and technologies, Imagery Analysis, and Humanitarian affairs.He currently works for the World Bank Institute, Innovation Practice as a Geographer. 


Allen CarrollESRI.

Allen Carroll is Program Manager, ArcGIS Online Content for Esri, the leading provider of geographic information systems software and services. He helps guide strategy for organizing Esri’s online content and communities, and develops innovative ways to utilize GIS as a storytelling platform. Allen came to Esri after 27 years at the National Geographic Society. As chief cartographer at NGS, he was deeply involved in the creation of the Society’s renowned reference and wall maps, globes, and atlases.

Dave ColeDevelopment Seed.

Dave leads our key projects, working closely with our team and partners to manage our open data and mapping work from the strategy and needs assessment phase through a successful launch. He is highly involved with MapBox, our suite of open source mapping tools, and works directly with the development team and current users as we roll out our first products. More. . .
