Young Professionals in Foreign Policy

YPFP is a non-profit, non-partisan organization with a global membership of 6,000 young people across all segments of society. YPFP's mission is to foster the next generation of foreign policy leaders by providing young professionals with the knowledge, skills, exposure and relationships to tackle critical global challenges over the course of their careers. YPFP recognizes that no single organization, sector, or country alone can confront the historic global challenges facing our generation, and that the solutions must be innovative, interdisciplinary, and transnational, depending on ever-increasing integration of effort among government, civil society, and business. Because technology and diplomacy are fundamental elements of these solutions, YPFP is proud to engage colleagues at Tech@State.

YPFP also has a discussion group dedicated to public diplomacy and cultural relat...:

"The Public Diplomacy and Cultural Relations Discussion Group explores the role culture and communications play in the interactions of state and non-state actors. We are interested in how one group can influence the policy attitudes of another group as well as how cross-cultural interactions can impact the social and political identities of both parties. We often invite prominent guests and visiting diplomatic delegations to join us for roundtable discussions on particular topics and/or areas of interest. The group actively recruits young professionals in DC who possess a command of communications, marketing, strategy, and technology coupled with firm academic and/or professional exposure to the principles of diplomacy and international relations."
